Dimitrios Nicolaides
Director, Civil & Environmental Engineer
Welcome to Susten Ltd, where our aim is to drive sustainability and breath innovation in the island of Cyprus. I have developed this company to identify and develop ideal investment decisions to satisfy the financial goals of our clients and investors, but at the same time have a high sustainability value with a positive environmental and societal impact. I believe that it is our collective and individual responsibility to preserve our natural surroundings and help enhance the standard of living in our planet.
Background
Dimitrios is a civil and environmental engineer with an MEng degree from Imperial College London. He has worked as a graduate engineer at Arup in London within the infrastructure department, working in large-scale projects such as the proposal of a new runway at Heathrow airport, and a decentralized heating station from renewable fuel in East London. He is currently undertaking a PhD (part-time) at the University of Cambridge, where his research is based on the development of zero-energy buildings and their contribution to the development of a smart city.

My aim is to identify the technical potential of new innovations and scrutinize that potential alongside with the financial objectives of our clients. I’m interested in groundbreaking technologies that could capitalize the market, while at the same time lie within the Social & Responsible framework on which our company is based upon.
Background
Dimos holds an electrical and electronics engineering degree from the Cyprus Institute of Technology. He also holds an MBA and has worked as a manager and automation engineer at Euroblinds developing shading solutions for notable large-scale developments in Cyprus.
